Skate LaSalle Awards Protocol   

                       

BMO CANSKATER of the YEAR (1 medal) Distribution: one medal for all of CanSkate A and BNominations:  —all Coaches working in CanSkate A and B.  Nomination should include summary of Badges passed within the winter skating season.Determination: vote by secret ballot by all Coaches working in CanSkate A and B.   Skater must be 8 years of age or under and currently enrolled in a CanSkate program.   Emphasis will be on talent and skill achievement coupled with the spirit of skating.  These skaters will have the desire to continue and succeed in Figure Skating.   BMO CanSkate Champions (2 medals) Distribution:     one medal for all of CanSkate A                         one medal for all of CanSkate BNominations:  — all coaches working in CanSkate A and B respectively may nominate skaters.  Nomination should include summary of Badges passed within the winter skating season.Determination: vote by secret ballot by coaches as describe above. (This information from the brochure from Skate Canada Skaters must be enrolled in a CanSkate program.   Emphasis will be on personal achievement or accomplishments as demonstrated by Badges passed in the season.  Skaters should embody the qualities considered to be a champion - commitment, perseverance, dedication, passion triumph and talent.    Skate LaSalle Starskate ATHLETE of the Year (all levels) -trophy Determination:    Skater with the largest total combined points from:1.                   Points from Tests Passed within the Skate Canada member ship year—April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009.2.                   Points from Competitions attended and placements— April 1 2008 to March 31, 2009. Most Improved Junior SkaterDetermination:     Junior Skater with the largest total combined points from:1.                   Tests Passed within the Skate Canada member ship year— April 1 2008 to March 31, 2009. Most improved Intermediate SkaterDetermination:     Intermediate Skater with the largest total combined points from:1.                   Most Tests Passed — April 1 2008 to March 31, 2009. Most improved Senior SkaterDetermination:     Senior Skater with the largest total combined points from:1.                   Most Tests Passed — April 1 2008 to March 31, 2009. Junior Skater of the yearDetermination:     Junior Skater with the largest total combined points from:1.                   Tests Passed — April 1 2008 to March 31, 2009.2.                   Competitions attended and placement— April 1 2008 to March 31, 2009. Intermediate Skater of the yearDetermination:     Intermediate Skater with the largest total combined points from:1.                   Tests Passed — April 1 2008 to March 31, 2009.2.                   Competitions attended and placement— April 1 2008 to March 31, 2009. Senior Skater of the yearDetermination:     Senior Skater with the largest total combined points from:1.                   Tests Passed — April 1 2008 to March 31, 2009.2.                   Competitions attended — April 1 2008 to March 31, 2009.3.                   Placement in competitions — April 1 2008 to March 31, 2009.
