Program Information
Coaches are available for private lessons. Private lessons are typically 15 minutes and are held during the skater's regular session. Fees for private lessons are paid directly to the coach and are NOT included in your registration fees. Parents are requested to conact the coach of their choice directly to arrange for private lessons. Here is a list of Skate LaSalle Professional Coaches.

Pre-School
Pre-School is designed for children who are born between Janaury 1st and December 31st and turning 3 or 4. When you sign your child up for Pre-School they will be in a program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. Skaters work on Skate Canada badges within small groups that are 30 minutes in length and led by an NCCP certified professional coach. Professional coaches are assisted by trained Program Assistants. Sessions are offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
CanSkate
CanSkate is Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program; designed for beginners ages 5 and up. The skater must reach their 5th birthday by December 31st to register. When you sign your child up for CanSkate they will be in a program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. Skaters will earn badges and other incentives as they learn fundemental skating skills. Lessons are given in a group format, which includes 40 minutes of instruction and led by an NCCP certified professional coach and 5 minutes of "free time". Professional coaches are assisted by trained Program Assistants. Sessions are offered on Wednesdays, and Saturdays. CanSkate A is for skaters still working on Badges 1 through 4. CanSkate B is for skaters working on Badges 5 and 6.
Junior
Junior is a program designed for skaters who have passed any Skate Canada Preliminary Dances (eg. Dutch Waltz, Baby Blues, etc). Skaters at this level begin working on Skate Canada sanctioned tests which include dance, skills and freeskate. Private instruction is strongly encouraged at this level.
Intermediate
Intermediate is a program designed for skaters who must have passed their complete Preliminary FreeSkate or Preliminary Skills and complete Junior Bronze dances (Swing, Fiesta, Willow).
Seniors
Seniors is a program designed for skaters who have passed their complete Junior Bronze Freeskate and either Junior Bronze Skills or Senior Bronze Dances (or be turning 14 in the calendar year with a minium intermediate levels).
